Dr. Stephanie Neuerburg is a lifelong student of movement starting as an athlete. She has been working
for the last 10 years as a physical therapist specializing in functional movement training in the
orthopedic and neurological populations. Her goal is always to have the patient be able to return elite
performance. Dr. Neuerburg has specialized in running assessment and return to sport, including bio
mechanical movement optimization and functional movement training. Dr. Neuerburg is a constant
student of the human body and continues her education not only in various training methodologies but
also in healing practices that she will be excited to share in the coming months.
In recent years, Dr. Neuerburg has opened her abilities to a top-down approach, which includes a more
wholistic approach as well as creating positive habits in everyday life such as posture. She accomplishes
this by creating a full body analysis that allows for a complete picture of a patient’s dysfunction to help
restore natural movements and decrease painful responses. This creates a whole-body method of
healing rather than in classic physical therapy where the goal is to focus on the injured area only and
rehabilitation of that ailment. Dr. Neuerburg’s top-down approach creates not only the ability to heal
the afflicted area, but also other areas of the body that may be deficient and could lead to future
injuries or re-injury of the afflicted area. By healing the whole, one can heal the parts and be in a better
position for success than perhaps prior to injury.
